We might be biased but we think that the Pyrénées are one of the best places to holiday in Europe. Any time of year is good for a visit - whether you enjoy cycling, skiing, hiking or just sightseeing in this beautiful region, there's always something to do. And you get the best of France and Spain when it comes to food... At just 20 minutes from the Spanish border, you can be eating tapas for lunch and le steak frites for dinner!
We have created beautiful, comfortable places to stay while you explore this amazing region
Each of our cabins is a completely unique space, with comfortable beds, luxurious linens and beautiful outside spaces that allow you to enjoy the sound of the river and stunning mountain views.
Mauleon-Barousse is a perfect French village - we have a restaurant and bar (with a sunny, riverside terrace), a bakery and plenty of walks, hikes and bikes right on our doorstep.

Le Moulin Barousse is the dream of John & Charlotte, a British couple who escaped the grey skies of London in 2019 for the sunshine and adventures of the Haute Pyrenees. They are now builders, gardeners and cooks and are excited to be sharing their dream with holidaymakers from all over the world.

"We’ve stayed in small cabins like this one before but this one topped the lot. It’s surprisingly spacious, the bathroom is just lovely with a double shower, a big basin sink, all immaculate. It’s really well insulated compared to what we have been used to as well, well built and substantial. Charlotte is fantastic, always responded quickly and proactive to make our stay extra special. Thanks for a lovely stay."
